ABOUT THE ROLE

The Initiative Planning Expert (IP) is the single point of accountability for integration of initiatives, product changes, and other major changes into the Supply Chain, by leading the multifunctional Planning Hub team in evaluation and execution of projects end to end having Global teams and markets as main stakeholders. The role is developed under a global scope being accountable for the initiatives impact on the company Cash (Inventory), Costs, Quality, Schedule (SOS) and Service.

This role requires intermediate to Advanced Project Management skills and basic to Intermediate level of mastery in Supply Chain knowledge.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead Initiatives from a Supply Chain perspective for the Wella Professional Hair team.
  • Represent the planning Hub to the Multi-functional Initiative team.
  • Engaging/updating Supply Chain Leader/ Ops Leader/Planning Hub Director as needed on Initiative status, issues, action plans, and results.
  • Owning Daily/Weekly/Monthly Supply Planning interface for other functions and disciplines in the defined supply network(s) of the Project.
  • Leveraging the Planning Hub multi-functional teams and Key Users / Business Experts to improve initiative planning/delivery process and tools.
  • Contribute and provide leadership for inventory reduction strategies
  • Provide leadership to reduce/eliminate efforts within their organization.
  • Drive improvement and operational excellence within the standard work processes.

  • Leadership and influencing skills and, experience participating on and in leading cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills (clear, concise and timely).
  • Able to integrate information from a variety sources, comfortable challenging a team to reach consensus, and conflict resolution.
  • Will need basic understanding of Mfg, Planning, QA, R&D and Commercial/Go to Market planning.
  • Strong competency in the areas of Initiative and Project Management, MS Project, SAP, JDA, EXCEL.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement improvements.
