ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Procurement Director – Global IT is to define and drive commercially the strategic interventions and transformation for IT and Digital across all regions where Wella is operating. This is an exciting and high visibility opportunity to influence the design and strategic choices on large transformations with high impact, at a time when the full Wella IT landscape is undergoing a reset.
Working closely with the VP Indirect Procurement, the Chief Digital & Information Officer and her leadership team, as well as the regional category teams, you will be leading the global IT Procurement team based in Warsaw and will be enabling the implementation of new strategies and capabilities. You will engage with the IT & Digital subject matter experts to review business needs and spend levers, support strategic choices on suppliers, spend policies and define the external capabilities needed to deliver value and growth.
You will work on strengthening SRM with strategic vendors, hand in hand with your business partners, to ensure successful implementations of transformational projects and drive incremental value mid/long term. Today the global IT & Digital spend is approximately 150 Million US$.
You are responsible for leading the procurement team based in Warsaw, Poland. You will be driving the category strategy, annual saving initiatives, 3-year roadmap, performance and succession plans with discipline to deliver the business growth objectives. You will create spend insights, scout for commercial or technical optimization and analyze demand management levers to support continuous value delivery. You will work to ensure transparency and governance of spend processes and policies globally, sharing findings to foster new best practices.

You will ensure appropriate support and alignment with IT & Digital leadership, regional and local IT and Procurement teams, and all central functions in the implementation and execution of the IT strategy and projects. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Business
- In close collaboration with IT & Digital function, design/refine and implement new sourcing strategies and strategic interventions globally.
- Engage efficiently and structure the governance with each IT teams (Infrastructure, On-site support, Saas, Digital, Architecture, AMS..) to ensure early engagement and strategic alignment.
- Establish the procurement as an unavoidable business partner and advisor.
- Develop and ensure On-Time and In-Full execution of Indirect Procurement roadmaps in your scope.
- Provide commercial leadership and lead preferred supplier selection process for key initiatives, leveraging robust knowledge of tender management.
- As a member of the Indirect Procurement Leadership Team, participate in defining organizational improvements, growth and development plan for the function, act as an ambassador of procurement.
- Implement Supplier Relation Management program and drive Year on Year improvement in quality, service, talent and value.
- Enable the use of new tools to make sourcing simpler and more efficient.
- Support business plan to improve ethical and environmental sourcing.
- Implement governance and control including contractual agreements and policies.
Organization
- Lead global IT Procurement team (2 FTEs).
- Establish structured governance and engagement with global and regional teams, both from IT & Digital, as well as Procurement.
- Use expertise to support and influence senior IT leaders on commercial implications short/mid/long terms.
- Develop individuals’ capabilities and manage team to deliver maximum efficiency and value to the business.
- Engage and influence stakeholders in Category Strategy definition and implementation.
- Ensure the ongoing training and development of self and team in procurement best practices and skills.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG
Profile and education:
- Seasoned procurement leader (10-15 years), with experience in a global IT & Digital scope.
- Work experience in an international environment and matrix organizations.
- Capable and proven track record of stakeholder management including business Leaders (internal and external).
- Track record in commercially supporting company-wide transformation in IT & Digital space.
- Experience in developing and managing organizations, including conflict management.
- Excellent analytical skills, negotiation skills, strategic thinking and collaboration skills.
- High level of reliability, personal integrity, autonomy and ownership.
- Strategic, structured, pro-active and solution-oriented way of working.
- You are business driven, pragmatic and results-oriented.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to communicate complex topics in concise terms to various stakeholders including C-Suite.
- Master degree qualified preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or other relevant discipline. MBA advantageous.
- High degree of fluency in written and spoken English and Polish is required.

- Able to travel in support of business (0-20%).
