ABOUT THE ROLE
As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for Gross Sales (GS) and Net Revenue (NR) development partnering with their respective exclusive distributors (DSR) in assigned markets & countries. The Key Account Manager is the central liaison between the distributor and multifunctional teams and have a strategic mindset with a strong vision on how to win in each market. Your main responsibility is aligning and executing winning Joint Business Plan (JBP) with DSRs, including measurable strategic priorities. The successful candidate in this role will have the opportunity to lead DSR management of all Wella brands, across all categories.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Sales & Commercial: deliver the annual GS and NR targets.
- Align winning JBP with all DSR, prioritizing market share and distribution growth.
- Negotiate price structure improvements leveraging DSR synergies and portfolio increase.
- Finance: Own and manage trade investment budgets.
- Analyse business results, DSR performance and market situation to identify major risks and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with multifunctional team on risk mitigation and translation of opportunities into business results.
- Influence multifunctional team to ensure maximum focus on biggest strategic priorities
- Legal: Negotiate and agree on contractual terms for new distributors.
- Ensure distributors respect the selective distribution agreements.
- Enable the DSRs by deploying precise guidance with clear brand positioning and go to market plan per brand.
- Serve DSR with excellence on commercial readiness and product supply service level.
- Maximize the presence in the field with regular market visits (30% travel component).
- Build strong relationships by sharing win-win strategies.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG:
Essential:
- Proven successful experience as a Key Account Manager and in Trade Marketing, Category Management and or Revenue Management, ideally in Cosmetics, Beauty or an FMCG environment.
- Agility to provide clear direction to business partners (distributors) to drive the best in-market sales execution.
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills, together with ability to influence others.
- Attitude of continuously striving for excellence, and ability to take calculated risk to achieve superior results.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Desirable:
- A Team player with excellent collaboration, organization and time management skills.
