THE ROLE

 

The purpose of the Material Supply Management Expert role is to support continuity of Pack/Raw Materials supply through building strong collaborative relationship with key Pack/Raw Material suppliers, improving agility of the supply chain, and cooperation with internal cross-functional teams (Procurement, R&D, Initiative & Operational planning, and others).

 

The Global Supply Chain Planning Team you will be joining plays a critical role in product delivery to Wella customers. We collaborate cross-functionally and influence optimal decisions on service, cost, cash, and innovation. We continuously evolve and elevate work process standards, and daily operate in a multi-cultural context.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Make strategic analyses to support cross-functional teams in development and execution of Business Continuity plans and cost saving initiatives.
  • Analyse and agree on long-term capacity plans with defined pool of suppliers of Pack/Raw Materials.
  • Ensure continuity of Pack/Raw Materials supply via full crisis management ownership of major materials supply chain issues.
  • Adjust supply chain or ordering strategy to global trends/issues/force majeures for the given pool of materials.
  • Drive supply chain capability improvements by developing and maintaining Service Level Agreements.
  • Negotiate and align supply chain parameters with suppliers in cooperation with cross-functional teams.
  • Have touch points with higher leadership for reporting purposes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for various projects.
  • Build strategic partnership with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating Wella values and behaviours on a daily basis.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Min. 3 years of experience in supply chain planningprocurement or managing suppliers’ relationship and contracts (commercial or Service Level Agreements)
  • Proven record of analyses of complex data sets and processes, driving the decision-making process
  • Ownership, autonomy, and accountability for results within the given scope
  • Priority-setting skills and efficient work organization in a dynamic business environment
  • Growth mindset, with focus on solutions, improvements, and constant learning
  • Resilience to frequent changes in the supply chain
  • Ability to think and understand quickly, and to adjust plans and actions to the changing circumstances
  • Strategic approach to the business, and ability to approach problems-solving from a global perspective
  • Excellent expertise-sharing and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to influence peers and stakeholders at different organizational levels, promoting the spirit of cooperation and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to define gaps and drive cross-functional action plans for issue resolution, risk mitigation and business improvements
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Mastery of MS Office tool
