DIE ROLLE

Als Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) der Wella F&E Organisation in Darmstadt, Deutschland, unterstützen Sie den globalen Geschäftsbetrieb im nasschemischen Labor. In ihrer Rolle führen Sie präzise analytische Messungen an Rohstoffen und Haarpflegeprodukten durch, in einer äußerst agilen Umgebung. Sie übernehmen Verantwortung für die Laborinfrastruktur inkl. den Messinstrumenten und Datenbanken. Sie lösen mit Begeisterung analytische Probleme und bringen Leidenschaft für die Arbeit im Labor mit. Ihre Arbeit ermöglicht neue Produktentwicklungen und deren Kommerzialisierung, Registrierung in globalen Märkten, und eine robuste Rohstoff Lieferkette und Qualitätskontrolle.

AUFGABENGEBIET

• Durchführung präziser analytischer Messungen mit Schwerpunkt Nasschemie zur Unterstützung der Produktentwicklung, Qualitätskontrolle und der Überprüfung der Einhaltung gesetzlicher Bestimmungen für Wella Produkte und Rohstoffe.
• Entwicklung, Validierung und Dokumentation neuer Methoden.
• Mitarbeit und Verantwortung für Qualitätsmanagement Systeme.
• Organisation und Koordination der Laborinfrastruktur einschließlich Pflege und Wartung sensibler Messinstrumente.
• Verantwortung für technische und administrative Aufgaben innerhalb des R&D-Teams.
• Digitalisierung, Datenintegrität und Dokumentation im Labor im Einklang mit den Qualitätsanforderungen der Kosmetikindustrie (GMP).
• Optimierung von Laborprozessen und analytischen Methoden.

IHRE QUALIFIKATION

• Chemielaborant oder Bachelor in analytischer Chemie oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation.
• 2-3 Jahre Erfahrung in einem nasschemischen Labor inkl. komplexer Titrationen. Idealerweise gute Kenntnisse in der Entwicklung von Messmethoden in einem analytischen Labor. Grundkenntnisse in der Spektroskopie.
• Erfahren in der exakten Durchführung von Messungen im Rahmen festgelegter Grenzwerte, kombiniert mit einem hohen Maß an Sorgfalt und Detailbewusstsein.
• Gute Kenntnisse der relevanten Qualitätsstandards und Anforderungen (ISO, GMP).
• Leidenschaft für das praktische Arbeiten in einem Laborumfeld, mit einem hohen Maß an Problemlösungskompetenz.
• Erfahrung in der Organisation und Pflege der Laborinfrastruktur inkl. Datenverarbeitung und kleinen Wartungsarbeiten. Affinität zu IT und Programmierkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.
• Eine engagierte, teamorientierte und präzise Arbeitsweise sowie Flexibilität bei wechselnden Anforderungen und gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit mit internen und externen Partnern runden Ihr Profil ab.
• Gute Deutsch und Englisch Kenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

THE ROLE

As part of our Wella R&D organization in Darmstadt, Germany, you will support the global Wella businesses hands-on in the Analytical Wet Chemistry laboratory. In your role you will perform precise analytical measurements for the characterization of hair cosmetics with focus on hair color products and raw materials. You will manage lab infrastructure with sensitive instrumentation and data bases and assume responsibility for inventory and chemicals. The successful candidate should be excited by analytical problems and have real passion for practical laboratory work in a positively agile environment. The work enables new product development and commercialization, registration in key global markets, raw material supply and quality control.

YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE

• Execution and reporting of accurate and precise analytical measurements focusing on wet chemistry to enable technical understanding, quality control or regulatory compliance of Wella products and raw materials.
• Development, validation, and documentation of new analytical methods.
• Contribution to analytical quality systems.
• Organization and coordination of the wet chemistry laboratory infrastructure including care and maintenance of the measuring instruments.
• Responsibility for technical and administrative tasks within the R&D team
• Lab digitization, data integrity, and documentation in line with Cosmetics GMPs.
• Optimization of laboratory processes and analytical methods.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Vocational training or bachelor degree in analytical chemistry or similar - or equivalent experience on the job.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in wet chemistry techniques, including complex titrations, ideally involving both the execution and development of methodologies in an analytical laboratory. Basic knowledge in spectroscopy.
• Experienced in working against quality criteria, applying technical rigor and precision with attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of relevant quality standards and requirements (ISO, GMP).
• Strong passion for practical laboratory work, with technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in maintaining lab infrastructure including data processing and small repairs. Affinity to IT and programming skills are advantageous.  
• Collaboration skills, demonstrating proactivity, agility, and initiative. Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and externally suppliers.
• English and German language skills.
